What is Coaching?

‘Coaching’ has derived from the form of transport of a ‘coach’, and applied in these terms, means transporting a person from one place to another.

Are you struggling with a work / life balance?  Life coaching can help where one cannot gain a clear perspective on how to manage work, or time, or relationships - and many more.

Life coaching can help individuals achieve goals, either professionally or personally, or both.  It is amazing to see a person gain insight as to what changes they can make for the better! For instance, if your aim is to work in Australia, or do a degree in America, or help the poor in Africa, then these goals could be achievable!  Coaching can encourage incredible and amazing achievements by people who really strive to get the best out of life.

Life coaching could completely overhaul one’s lifestyle.  All you need is the power to change!  For example, if you believe you are overweight, and you are not happy with your lifestyle, which in turn can affect your self-esteem, your confidence and even your relationships with other people, then this can be a downward spiral, or at the very least take you to a place where you can get ‘stuck’ feeling unhappy with yourself.  Life coaching could help you to turn this around, leading to a much more fulfilled lifestyle, creating great energy and considerably raising self-esteem and boosting confidence.

Life coaching can also be used as a motivator, to help people achieve the goals to which they aspire.  For instance, you may want to earn £100,000 per year, rather than £20,000 per year!  What’s stopping you?

Too often, we restrict ourselves, or are taught restricted beliefs in childhood that we carry into adulthood - we get stuck as adults in a child‘s restricted way of thinking!  For example, “Everything will be ok if I have a sensible office job”; or “I have to clear my plate every time I eat”.  These beliefs may have worked for when we were age 8, or 16.  So why carry them around now?  It is because they are what we have learnt during our formative years, we abide by those beliefs as this is what we are taught is “right” - we haven’t investigated and may not even know anything else!  These beliefs quite willingly attach themselves to us for as long as we let them!  To bring about change, we have to let them go if they are restricting us.

I believe that anything can be achieved with the right assistance, and we need not let those restricted beliefs hold us back any longer!
